I know this sounds cliched, but where does the time go? Are you finding that January is flying by?

I’m happy to report I started an exercise program this week, by way of a personal trainer who will be coming to my home every other week for the next two months. This sounds horribly snooty, I know, but it’s a good incentive for me to get a little fitter.

Man Lifting Weights

I’ll let you in on a couple of secrets. I hate gyms, so the trainer has created a program I can do at home with two five-pound weights, a stretchy band, an exercise ball and a yoga mat. All of which I already had but wasn’t using. Sound familiar? Oh, and the other secret. This is not my personal trainer.

All of this is in part geared to help me get in shape for the 10K training clinic and race I have signed up for. The clinic starts next week and the race is on May 1. I’ll be in the competitive walking category, NOT running, and hope to achieve a new personal best.

There’s lots happening in the writing department as well.

Tomorrow, Saturday, January 22, I’ll be taking part in a multi-author book signing, chatting with readers and, of course, signing copies of The Wedding Bargain. Details are here on my Buzz page. If you’re in the neighborhood, please drop by and say hi! We’ll be having a draw for candy and prizes, and everyone’s a winner!

Monday, January 24 is my regular blog day with the Harlequin American Romance Authors. Everyone who leaves a comment on one of the January blog posts will be entered in a draw to win books by several Harlequin American Romance authors. This month, to celebrate the release of The Wedding Bargain, I’ll be giving away an autographed copy of Firefighter Daddy.

Friday is usually my “food for thought” day, so I’m sending you over to Calorie Neutral for a fruit compote recipe. While you’re there, check out the rest of Rachel’s great blog!

Happy reading!

Until next time,
Lee
