Like most authors, I keep a copy of all my books on a shelf in my office. On those days when I’m tearing my hair out and thinking everything I write is garbage, it’s good reminder that I can do this!

Before I was published, I used a similar visualization technique. Each completed manuscript went into a binder, and I even made covers for them!

This manuscript was a two-time Golden Heart finalist and although I was never able to sell it, I still love the story and the characters. The heroine is a motorcycle-riding undercover cop and although I eventually changed the title from A Million to One to Heaven on Wheels, I didn’t make a new cover for the binder.

Have you tried visualization exercises? Have they worked?

Until next time,
Lee
