It's Spring!

I love everything about spring! Okay, maybe not spring cleaning, but everything else.

I hope you enjoy the day, and the season.

Until next time,

Sunday Fun ~ I have a new laptop!

Is this not the cutest little computer you have ever seen?

My old laptop wasn't charging properly and it'll take several weeks for the new part to arrive. Meanwhile I'm on a tight writing deadline! I had to spend two days shopping for a new one, getting data transferred, etc., but now I'm back in action.

When I have a little spare time I'll search for polka dot wallpaper to jazz up the desktop, but I'm loving the flowers. What do you think?

Until next time,

This Week's News

Sunday Fun—Romancing the Music Video

I just had to share this music video for Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" because it features a Harlequin romance novel written by the fabulous Linda Warren, one of my fellow American Romance authors. Enjoy!

Great song and cute video, don't you think? And you've gotta love a girl with such great taste in books!

Until next time,

Friday Food for Thought—Coleslaw Dressing

Coleslaw is one my favorite salads but I've never had any luck with the dressing. Now, after a long and lengthy search and much experimenting in the kitchen, I've come up with a recipe I love.

Lee's Coleslaw Dressing

1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup plain yogurt
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/4 cup finely chopped sweet red onion
salt and pepper to taste

Mix al ingredients in a small bowl. Pour the dressing onto the slaw and toss. Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Until next time,

PS: I make coleslaw with shreeded green or red cabbage (or a combination of the two), grated carrot and grated apple. A firm, tart apple like a Granny Smith works best. What do you put in your slaw?

Tuesday News & Happy Valentine's Day

Wow. I've had a super-busy week that actually started the Saturday before last with a successful multi-author book signing.

On Wednesday I took part in a panel discussion on Romance in the 21st Century at the Vancouver Public Library.

And this past Saturday I was the keynote speaker at the Vancouver Island Chapter of Romance Writers of America's annual Valentine's Day Luncheon and Awards Ceremony.

Now I'm back to serious writing time, and today I found out that my next book, The Daddy Project, will be a December 2012 release! This is Kristi's story, the second book in the Ready Set Sold series set in Seattle.

I hope your Valentine's Day is filled with love and lots of sweet, sweet goodness!

Unitl next time,

Sunday Fun—The Bunny Hop

Think you've seen everything? How about a sheep-herding rabbit? No? Check out this little guy.  He's one spunky bunny! I don't care for the song, though. It's funnier with the volume turned off.

Until next time,

Tuesday News—Sweet Somethings

Last week I learned that Harlequin is going to reissue my very first book, The Man for Maggie, as part of their Heartwarming line. I'm thrilled! The book will be revamped and given a new title and cover, and released in the first part of 2013.

Harlequin's Heartwarmings are wholesome, tender romances that celebrate traditional values and true love. I think the line is a perfect fit for me and this book.

The covers are absolutely gorgeous—check them out on the Harlequin website—and I can't wait to see what mine will look like!

Happy reading!

Until next time,
